Hello from the American Midwest, where I’m stopping to refuel this month before heading to LA for a spell this summer – then it’s back to London for the Camden Fringe Festival in August. (No, not Edinburgh. I like to be contrarian.) In the meantime, I’m editing my latest short film, Present Tense, which I wrote, directed, and acted in – while also fundraising for my first feature (yes, I’m directing that too). I’ve started writing a new script inspired by my Great Uncle who was in Vaudeville, which honestly explains a lot. Also recently launched a Substack, because clearly I needed another outlet for unfiltered oversharing: holhuds.substack.com. For upcoming shows, check the Gigs page.

Bonjour from Paris! I continue to pursue my digitally nomadic existence as I enjoy a pitstop in this amazing city for a while. You might be surprised to learn how much the French love standup comedy in English. Audiences here are amazing, and incredibly international as well. So much so, that we are bringing the American comedy phenom, Don’t Tell Comedy, to Paris this year. I am co-producing shows in English here in unique, secret locations around the city. Please check my Gigs page for upcoming show dates. I’m also prepping my first hour of work-in-progress to perform in London next month.

Guess I’m a bit behind on my Now page! Since we are in the season of reflecting and projecting…2023 was a busy year and I found myself doing more stand up in Paris, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Chicago, Cincinnati, and LA (London of course, but that’s where it all started). My digital nomad-ing continues and I will likely do more of the same this year, especially as I am working on my first-hour show from which I will preview work-in-progress at Angel Comedy and Top Secret in London later this spring. This is all in preparation for a special that will be filmed by Four by Three Comedy out of Cincinnati sometime around mid-year. I am almost finished with my second romantic comedy feature script, KING’S CROSS, with my writing partner PJ Spencer, and continuing work this winter developing a comedy-drama TV series based on the life of my late great-uncle who worked in vaudeville, called THE ROXY. Last month I was also featured in a TELEGRAPH article about US vs UK Christmas songs, which was fun!

April 2023

I am writing and gigging in Los Angeles this winter, learning the California freeway system, growing a new appreciation for lemon trees, roadside tacos, and the actual meaning of “let’s have lunch”. Not to mention hanging out with my 22 year old son as much as possible. I’m also turning my comedy pilot script Man Factory into an audio version to be produced by Mancmade Productions in Manchester, UK later this spring.
